Philly

The past few months have been a real challenge. Coming up with designs are like needles in haystacks for me. I was doing some volunteer work at local L.A. dispensary and designed them a logo to use and wouldn't you know it. They went under (out of business) and now I get to use my idea for our Dirty Vato line. Check it out and I hope that you like it. Tell me what you guys think.
The idea came from Philly Blunts that they sold at the dispensary.

New Grey Matter Designs for the Fall.

Well I have been working on some stuff for our Dirty Vato Line that I had some photos that I was looking and was thinking of what we are going to start with for the fall with our Grey Matter Line. Took three photos that I personally took and starting going to work. Here's what I came up with. Hope you guys like it.

Now this photo is of Tomales Bay taken back in 2002 when I was visiting family in San Francisco.

This is another photo of the Palace of Fine Art in San Francisco.

Grandpa's Ride is the title of this photo.

Check back soon to see what else I'm working on and don't forget to check out www.dvclothing.com for more of what my clothing company is up too. Thanks.

First design for R.E.D.

Just finished a promotional shirt for one of our sponsored artist, Unpredictable R.E.D.. This July 15th at the Copa Cabana in Long Beach. For more information go to http://www.dvclothing.com/events/calender.html.

R.E.D. approved it and it's at the printer now and I can't wait to see how they look. This is the first of many more designs that we are collaborating with R.E.D. on. He has allot of great ideas and we have the talent and we hope to provide his fans with great apparel in the near future.

There are also two new designs that we have finished and started to print them and will be here with in the next couple of weeks and on our website for you to purchase. Here is a preview of those designs hope you guys enjoy them.

Think about a new t-shirt design.

I've been reading this book from Hunter S. Thompson called Hell's Angels and his experience at the time with the actual Hell's Angels in California. I haven't put the book down, I have been reading it non-stop. His writing is really gritty, and funny and I really enjoy reading it. Now this is where it gets complicated....I would like to design a shirt with HST as the subject....that's my problem.

I've have this idea of how I want it to look and I'm kinda torn to do it cause I don't want anything to come back to us about using someone's image illegally. I have looked up other sites to see if there are any HST shirts out there and came across this website, http://www.gonzo-tees.com/. Well in my opinion they don't really look that great. I would not purchase any of those shirts cause I know I could design a better one. Check them out tell me what you think cause I'm really interested in doing one.

Check back later..maybe I'll have some mock ups of what I want to do. STAY DIRTY!

Busy day...or I'd like to think so.

Today was just another day for me, updating the D.V. Clothing website with a new story about this new artist we are working with, Jesse Garcia. He is a young graffiti artist trying to make his talent work for him. It's been great collaborating with him, he has fresh ideas a great sense of design and is just a diamond in the rough. I hope to get his artwork out to the masses in the coming weeks.

There is a new short story about Jesse for our News portion of the website. I'm not much of a writer but but hopefully blogging and writing more and more will help improve my skills. Photography is also a big part of my skill sets to provide some visuals with all that I write about so enjoy the photos that I take as well. My online portfolio is here on my Flickr account, http://www.flickr.com/photos/erwood/.

Well I'll leave you this photo from the DIRTY VATO piece that Jesse did for us. Thanks again and remember, STAY DIRTY!
